MessageWe believe that chemical weapons are a cruel and horrific method for warfare when there are many other options in war. We believe it is indicative of this government that it believes that chemical warfare is acceptable and that they are unconcerned by the pain and death caused by these weapons.

MessageThe TRP will support this bill. We also look forward to supporting a ban on nuclear weapons in due course. The NRP's regime of preparing expensive weaponry only capable of the mass murder of innocent civilians abroad must be ended.

MessageOur policy with regard to nuclear and chemical weapons has always been this:
Their best use is as a deterrent. Just by saying that we reserve the right to use them does not mean that we necessarily will, but encoding our reluctance in law will only tell our enemies how far we are willing to go to defeat them. It is essential to preserve these weapons' role in creating fear and uncertainty amongst our enemies. For this reason, we vote no.

MessageHistory has clearly shown that WMDs in fact prevent war. But, if a war were to start regardless, Telamon must be able to win. Most other nations have these weapons - there's no reason to shoot ourselves in the foot before combat even begins. We must be seen to be capable of retaliation, or else we will be easy targets for aggression .

MessageThe questioning is whether the public trust the aggressive militarists in the NRP to use these weapons solely as a deterrent. The TRP do not believe that they do. Moreover, the money we spend on the proliferation and maintenance of weapons of mass destruction could be better used creating world-class state education and health systems.

MessageWe also do not trust the government to use the weapons correctly and even if the NRP do keep their word parties in the future have the ability to change that because of the legislation. We do not think the benefits of a small detterent outway the pain and cruelty these weapons could inflict.

MessageThink of the pain and cruelty that would be inflicted upon our citizens if there was no deterrent and more powerful nations could attack as at will! The NRP has been in power for 60 years and never has come close to launching a war! Call us militarists all you want, but we have pursued a policy of peace through strength and it has worked. We only ask that you allow it to continue.

MessageThe NRP has never taken an aggressive action against another country throughout its history in power. Wanting a strong, well-equipped, and well-funded military capable of our national defense is not militarism. It's common sense.

MessageI highly doubt there will be any war regardless of nuclear weapons! The NRP is showing that despite no evidence of war occuring, despite many other deterents, despite as you say a well-funded military which is a deterent itself, it is determiend to maintain weapons of mass destrcution which brings into question the real intent of the NRP.

MessageIt's a risk we can't afford to take. The majority of nations have authorized the use of these weapons. We have to play the same game as everyone else, regardless of whether we like it or not.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet.
