Any chemicals used in agrigulture or processing, and any Gentically Modified ingredients must be listed. We feel that it is vitally important that the consumer understands what he or she is eating.

MessageUnfortunately, we cannot agree with this. There is simply not enough evidence to suggest that GM ingredients are in any way harmful to justify listing them on food labelling. In doing so we would be buying-in to the unjustified panic surrounding GM crops and would be suggesting to Telamonians that they should avoid them.

MessageThe legislation is not callign for a ban but just merely the listing of what the foods contain. We feel that is vital that the population is at least aware of whether their foods are GM. They need to be informed so that those who do not agree with GM crops or do not wish to consume them may make an informed decision
