MessageThe AAS offers the Conservative Party many thanks. Internal debate rages about whether to support - in the name of National Security - or reject - in the name of Liberty.

MessageJLP shares in this internal debate. Perhaps the CP could elaborate on how this will not interfere with liberty.

MessageWe are currently leaning to oppose; in the words of Franklin, those who give up essential liberties for temporary safety soon have neither liberty nor safety.

MessageThe words of Franklin carry much weight. It would be interesting to see if our Conservative Party can see ways clear to alleviate such worries?

MessageJLP - It will interfere with liberty, in that you will be required to carry an ID Card. However the police have been given no extra powers, other than the right to check the ID Card upon request.

MessageA good argument against the man, but not a rebuttal of the philosophy.

MessageHow, exactly, is this going to make Likatonia safer? How will it help the police do their job better? How will it deter problems against the state?

MessageQuite, I was merely suggesting that his ideas can't carry that much wage.

However, the CP cannot deny that this does impose certain limitations on liberty, it merely depends upon each parties personal view, as has been pointed out, national security or liberty.

MessageJLP - It will allow the police to combat identity fraud, illegal immigration and to other citizens in this nation illegally. One card will be enough evidence to prove one's identity, thus saving police and public a great deal of time. The ID cards will be near impossible to fake, thus at a stroke the police will have a reliable method to tackle those who 'steal' others identities.

MessagePSS will support this measure, it will facilitate the guarding of the values of our envisaged Religious state.
It will be quite easy for us to link a card to details about if a citizen supports our beliefs or is against them, qualifying them for re-education.
Strongly support.
