Bill: Might Makes Right Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Imperial Kalistan Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2055
Description[?]:
This bill will mandate Military Parades at a minimum on Federal holidays, or, whichever is greater, every other month. The military parades shall consist of, but not limited to, displays of the awesome power that is the Kalistani military, soldiers goose-stepping, missiles on display, officers saluting the President, the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Defense, et al. This bill is aimed to show the world that Kalistani might makes right and will also serve as a warning that offenses to our sovereignty will not be tolerated. Protesters may NOT come within 300 meters of the crowds of civilians and military, otherwise the current laws governing rowdy public gatherings will take effect (subject to arrest). |

Message | "You have got to be kidding me...." -PPP Yes, the NDP does sympathize with the PPP's dismay that they will be held only every other month. But the PPP should realize that the military has other things to do also. |

Message | The FRP is amazed at how the NDP and CNP keep churning out these odd bills. Even SOVIET RUSSIA only did this once a year. This is a horrible idea. It bogs down the military, increases funding for no apparent reason, and adds negative attention to Kalistan. Do we WANT to be known as "That weird country with the bi-monthly military parades"? |

Message | The FRP would also like to add that the country is, by and large, against this bill, being somewhat pacifistic and largely against useless overfunded military activities. We would like to pose the question to the NDP: Are you suddenly deciding to go AGAINST the will of Kalistan? |

Message | Well, we already are the weird nation that bans abortions and pornography, so thi is not such a far fetched bill, especially with the leadership of the NDP and their mouthpieces, the CNP. |

Message | OOC: Wow, you guys take this game too seriously. Why not have some fun with it instead of doing the same exact stuff that every other nation is doing?? |

Message | OOC: Well, this is supposed to be a semi-realistic simulation. We do have fun calling each other names and other naughty things... |

Message | OOC: I'm sure I won't have this position of power for very long. It's easier to be on the opposition side. |
