Bill: Execution Dignity Proposal
Details
Submitted by[?]: Linke Bewegung (Adlerist-Federist)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3853
Description[?]:
We recognize that the death penalty is currently illegal. We do, however, still need to have laws in place that would assure that an execution does not take place publicly. In case the death penalty is ever re-introduced we should assure that it is not made a public spectacle. |

Message | We believe that executions, whenever they are allowed, should be made public to maximise the deterrent effect, since that it is one of the core reasons for having the death penalty. - Dr Claudia Kehl (justice spokesperson) |
Date | 07:15:37, May 30, 2015 CET | From | Linke Bewegung (Adlerist-Federist) | To | Debating the Execution Dignity Proposal |
Message | Murder is a crime of passion. People do not think logically when they are committing murder. As a result the very idea that the death penalty is a deterrent against murder is deeply flawed. |
Date | 19:30:00, May 30, 2015 CET | From | Grüne Partei | To | Debating the Execution Dignity Proposal |
Message | This policy seems irrelevant given executions are currently banned. However, we will always support the less barbaric and draconian policy, therefore we vote yes. |
