Message | Mr. Speaker, This encourages selfishness, not innovation. It does not open new ways for people to think. It allows private ownership of ideas, and discourages the use and development of such ideas by new people. It stifles creativity, all in the name of encouraging people to be more innovative with the expectation of selfish gain. -- Trevor Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG, Vice President of Lodamun |

Message | Mr Speaker, The Shadow Alliance, while wishing for some protection for creators, realizes that copyright protection can actually hamper progress on those works. For example, a company could buy a patent, without actually having the technology to do anything with it. The Shadow Alliance will only support limited copyright. Therefore we can not support this bill, unless it is modified to recognize dangers of copyright law. Nick Bird Leader of the Opposition Leader of Shades The Shadow Alliance |
