| The position of "Prime Minister" shall be abolished and replaced with a vice-Presidency. This position must belong, by convention, to the same party as the President is from. This position is subservient to the Presidency and the President shall exercise executive power as they have done since the position was established. The President shall now be legally allowed to issue Executive Orders so long as they do not involve a significant change (I.E. a new agency may be set up but abortion may not be outlawed) The Vice-President is to act as President if the President is unable to accomplish his or her duties. The Vice-President will also approve all executive orders. Responsibility for the cabinet now lies in the hands of the President. Our reasons for doing this are that the Prime Ministerial position is essentially useless and has no real purpose. |
