MessageMonsieur le Président,

Being a member of the International Liberal Democrats, our party has always been strongly committed to preserving the rights of workers. For that reason, our party supports the continued enforcement of the International Convention on Workers Rights and International Labour Protocols I, both of which had already been ratified by previous governments. With that in mind, it is clear that the International Worker's Society Treaty simply does not provide any additional protection for the working class people. If anything, the treaty actually harms ordinary Lourennians by imposing strict restrictions on the structure of the economy. Our economy has suffered enough. I therefore urge my honorable colleagues to vote for this resolution.

--- Jonathan Beaulieu, Minister of Trade and Industry
