Bill: Abolish Border Controls Act of May 2169

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical Freedom Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2171

Description[?]:

As Rutania has no immigration laws, border controls are archaic and unneeded for a modern, open Rutania. Abolishing border controls could save us a significant amount of money.

The RFP proposes that the money currently spent on bureaucracy in border controls be reallocated to the budget for Education and Culture.

MessageThe GRP opposes this blatant disregard for national security. Security checks, the brief ones we have in place now, are vital for ensuring that Rutania does not allow in known criminals and terrorists, as well as those who do not have our best interests at heart.

MessageThe GRP will not support a piece of legislation that willingly denies this country internal and external security, and which would allow any terrorist or criminal free and unbarred access into this country, threatening innocent Rutanians. The Ruts supposedly freed could easily come from the HoG or Environment and Tourism budgets.

Message"We still *fund* that private education"

We fund education for the poor. We have no inclination of how much that cost.

"that you've shoved down our throats."

The will of the people of Rutania "shoved that down your throats".
