Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: January 3866
Description[?]:
This bill will provide a huge boost to the much-neglected agricultural community which continue to be blatantly ignored by the political elite. The current law is failing the poorest farmers as they are not given financial assistance for their operations. The law also punishes co-operative farms that have merged together or successful farmers who have expanded the size of their farm. Legalising GM crops will massively increase production which will enable millions of hungry people to bed fed at home and abroad. An overwhelming majority of countries allow GM crops yet we're left in the same group as dictatorships such as Ibutho and Jelbania. Pesticides and fungicides are banned and rightly so, but without GM crops it means our agricultural output is currently severely limited. |

Message | This would be an absolute tragedy if this fails to pass. Dundorf's farmers are currently not allowed to use pesticides or fungicides to prevent crop damage nor are they allowed to use GM crops to maximise productivity. We're going to have an agricultural crisis unless we can reform agriculture. Lets become an agricultural powerhouse rather than a land of pests and ancient farming methods. - BFD Food and Agriculture spokesperson, Viktor Burgstaller |

Message | By deregulating the size of farms, what they can produce, and helping all farmers in need rather than just ones that support an ecological agenda our country would be able to be self sufficient in feeding its own people; and, have enough stock leftover for much needed trade. |
