| Herr Speaker, It has been 7 years since the last debate on the age of compulsory schooling. The Staatsrat unfortunately voted in favor of lowering the compulsory age to 16, which we found highly irresponsible. It is now clear that we did not support our economy at all with this impulsive action, because we're currently lacking individuals with a higher level of education, which is apparently the cost of the total freedom Ms. Robinson described when she proposed her disastrous plan. We ask the Members of the Staatsrat to think about the possible damage this plan could do if we keep it in place. |
