Message | We already have these sources of education, why make the government pay for them? |
Date | 02:07:43, January 13, 2006 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Educated Workforce Act of 2169 |
Message | The government should pay for them so ensure standards in our educational system. We cannot have people from certain private universities have degrees based on inferior curriculum or inadequate study. This also guarantees equal education to all, so that people who are born into money do not have the ability to buy a better education at the expense of the majority of society. |

Message | Your argument seems to suggest that those with money will do the best and worst, so surely it balances itself out? |
Date | 16:27:29, January 15, 2006 CET | From | Labour Party | To | Debating the Educated Workforce Act of 2169 |
Message | Our argument suggests nothing of the sort. Under a fair system, people would succeed based on their ability, not their standing in society or their wealth. That's what classic conservatism is all about, right? Under our current system, those with money can buy themselves a better education and give themselves a better springboard from which to start life. |

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
