Description[?]:
Dear Distinguished Members of the Parliament: Hello. Please note the following: (1) The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) BEFORE our aggressive income tax and spending reductions were as follows: Consumption 216,838,790,113 RUT 74.51% Government 32,004,000,000 RUT 11.00% INVESTMENT 42,160,694,489 RUT ***14.49%*** Net Exports 0 RUT 0.00% GDP 291,003,484,602 RUT 100.00% (2) The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) AFTER the CWFP's economic policies: Gross Domestic Product[?] Consumption 224,528,600,869 RUT 76.99% Government 22,847,179,517 RUT 7.83% INVESTMENT 44,265,928,517 RUT ***15.18%*** Net Exports 0 RUT 0.00% GDP 291,641,708,903 RUT 100.00% SOURCE: cf. http://classic.particracy.net/budget.php?nationid=6 (3) In summation, the INVESTMENT component of GDP INCREASED from 14.49% to ***15.18%***, or a surplus of ***.69*** percentage points. Thus, our economic polices WORKED though they only worked minimal. (4) However, the economic situation in Rutania needs to be IMPROVED further. We propose to aggressively raise the CONSUMPTION and LUXURY taxes to RE-DIRECT capital from the consumption part of the economy to the INVESTMENT component of GDP where more jobs will be created. (5) In conclusion, if we raise the consumption taxes to 30-50%, consumers would naturally decide to to STOP CONSUMING and start using their money to INVEST in stocks and bonds which will raise INVESTMENT CAPITAL thus creating millions of jobs for Rutanians. We KNOW it will work because our economic policies have actually WORKED before as evidence of the shift changes in GDP. ---The CWFP OOC: Guys, let's just TRY the experiment to see if it will WORK, but if the investment component of GDP does NOT rise further, my party will vote to repeal the consumption taxes. |

Message | Mr speaker This would kill off the economy, investment is far from being the only source of jobs. No one would be able to feed themselves and all markets would plummet from electronics to investment. Yes, investment, because if a company can't sell anything than it won't do well, and if it doesn't do well, then people don't invest in it. |

Message | Mr. speaker, By increasing taxes on both luxury and non-luxury goods you will take away what our people need to live and dash the aspirations of millions by making the luxury items nigh-on impossible to afford. This bill will absolutely destroy the people of Rutania, causing them to starve. By massively increasing sales taxes our economy would collapse. OOC: Not like I have any votes anyway, I might as well go by what my party would do. |

Message | Mr speaker, This increase is way too high for poor families. We would not want to take the risk and compromise the welfare of our citizens. |

Message | http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=441201 OOC: Guys, this is ONLY a game and is NOT real. Let's just TRY the experiment to SEE what will happen with the economic statistics. Personally, in the real world, I am opposed to the FAIR TAX or a National Sales Tax. cf. http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Tax |

Message | Ooc: well, I do truely despise taxes such as these, but I guess for rp purposes it wouldn't hurt. I mean, were not running a real country. However, CWF, I suggest you send out messages and get everyone to agree before putting up a bill like this. |
