MessageScrew this...poor people in other countries need to be helped too, not just those in Saridan. And Saridan is a land of great opportunity. We need to not only let in refugees but give them aid so that they can restart their life without falling prey to the capitalist system. We recommend you read the book The Jungle, or maybe observe conditions in the slums of our capital.

MessageSo, GSP... Open the flood gates, let everyone in, flood the job market, cutting the cost of labour, cutting the workers' living conditions, creating MORE slums, in every city.
Give them... shock, horror.... money... so they don't fall prey to Capitalism? Capital is money... Fight Capitalism with its own?
Now I know what the "Green" in your party is... and I think you were smoking some at about 2:20:09, on January 12th.
Charity begins at home. We need to fix our internal situation, especially Finance, first. Then, we can revert to high levels of aid overseas. Notice, I still advocate aid to other countries, just not as much. If we give less, but monitor how and where it is being used, it can be of more advantage to the recipient countries. There is too much wastage of what we give now, because some recipients think it's a bottomless money barrel.

MessageThe people already in our own country need to be helped as well, yes. But barring immigrants from our country is too drastic of a measure. The "flood gates" will not open, as you say, if our country is not economically strong. So the only time great masses of people will come here is when our economy is already booming. Giving aid to the countries in need will stop their refugees from being smuggled here. Finally, capital and capitalism are two different things. Similar to the words social and socialism.
