Message | It is interesting that even when we water our proposals down the nationalists still wont vote in favour. If this bill does not pass the country will continue to lack a much-needed welfare safety net and millions of people across these lands will be signed-up to years of poverty and suffering. The nationalists completely lack any sense of compassion or respect for humanity. Not only do they want to maintain poverty abroad through tied but they also want to maintain poverty at home too. My party simply hopes that the centrists will acknowledge the need for these basic provisions. Currently, we are in a group of only three countries in the world which do not provide child welfare to citizens, and a group of 6 with no pension provision. This is unacceptable and disturbing. - Klemens Müller, ÖkoLinks Leader |

Message | The NPN would have supported this bill but for article 3. Compulsory public pensions are unnecessary, particularly when combined with private pension options. The market can and has adequately handled the retirement needs of Republican citizens for years. A public option represents a state-sponsored (and thus advantaged) competitor in an otherwise fair marketplace. Though I suspect Mr. Müller may have a heart attack when I say it (good think Narik hospitals are the best in Artania, free market run!), the NPN supports articles 1 and 2. - Ewout Van Rompay, NPN Leader |
