Voting deadline: February 3879

Description[?]:

The Imperial Senate, with the support of Emperor Choesun, has hereby enacted a set of laws to ensure the stability of the state and its guiding ideals.

I) The Imperial People's Party is recognized as the leading political party of the Imperial United Front (IUF), a national popular front representing the interests of the Great Kyo Empire and its constituent nations and peoples.

II) Registered national political parties must operate under the membership of the Imperial United Front. Those national political parties that operate outside the IUF are considered illegal and are not permitted to operate.

III) In order to monitor the operations of the Imperial United Front and to ensure that national and regional political parties and organizations uphold positive national values, the Imperial United Front Operation Department (IUFOD) will be established under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The IUFOD will possess the authority, with approval of the Minister of Internal Affairs, to expel and admit national political parties to the IUF. It also may refer illegal political activities to the Ministry of Justice for further investigation and prosecution.

IV) The Imperial Senate must be composed only of representatives of political parties affiliated with the Imperial United Front. Any members of the legislative body that are found to be in contradiction of national values may be expelled if deemed necessary by the Imperial United Front Operation Department. Further investigation and prosecution may be sought by the Ministry of Justice.
-- a) The same regulations exist for regional and local political bodies; any contradiction of national values may result in expulsion from the body and prosecution by the Ministry of Justice.

V) No political party, national or regional, is permitted to support republicanism and/or the removal of the Ryeo Clan. Nor may any political party threaten the integrity and stability of the Great Kyo Empire. Support for these ideologies will be considered illegal.
-- a) Additional ideologies that are explicitly banned are: Communism; Septembrism.

VI) Regional and local political parties are permitted to operate after having gained the approval of the Imperial United Front Operation Department. These regional and local political parties do not have to declare allegiance to the IUF, but it is expected that they uphold the core values of the national doctrine.
-- a) Currently recognized regional/local parties: New Dawn (all regions); Kyo Fatherland (all regions); Phoenix Party (all regions)

VII) Through dialogue within the Imperial Senate and management under the Imperial United Front Operation Department, the Imperial People's Party will maintain a leading role over the Imperial United Front and it will interact with the representative interests of the other organizations composing the Imperial United Front.
-- a) If deemed necessary, the Imperial People's Party will establish a third department located within its formal party structure, but interconnected with the national government apparatus, to manage its relationships with other political parties.

VIII) If it is deemed necessary by the representatives of the Imperial Senate, the Imperial United Front may have its privileges revoked through a 2/3rds majority. Such action would effectively null and void this legislation and should only occur to preserve the interests of the state and its people.
