MessageCurrently this would require far too much of a strain on the Social Services budget. How would the LL describe a "reasonable" standard of living. We feel this would simply encourage long term non-productivitty as many people would rather allow the government to pay their way then perform hard work if they are capable. The NCP can not support a Grasshopper society and we won't support this, especially considering the sheer amount of funding it would take to sustain long term.

MessageEnough money to live in a small 2 bedroom apartment as well as put food on the table and clothes on your back.

This policy would be especially helpful for artists, who then could devote their time to their art.

MessageYour definition of a reasonable standard of living then would vary from city to city, and again, could be open to abuse as many people would simply chose not to work if they knew the government was going to supply them with enough money for an apartment, food and clothing. What reason would they ever have to work again. Does the Liberal League have any idea how grossly expensive such a program would be?

We will NEVER support such a fiscally irresponsible measure that if implemented could potentially bankrupt the nation simply so that some people can be lazy.
