Proposal[?] to change Guarantee of minimum income.
Old value:: There shall be no direct cash payments to individuals to guarantee a minimum income.
Current: All adults not supported by another person shall be guaranteed a reasonable, though not high, standard of living by the government.
Proposed: All adults not supported by another person shall be guaranteed a very basic subsistence income by the government. However, the provision of this is not to exceed a certian period of time.

| Message | No work no pay. The government should only supply an income, without work, to persons who are disabled in some way, mentally or physically. And even in those cases, we have programs in place to help people with disabilities get jobs that are accommodating to particular disabilities. For those without disabilities we have job placement programs for the private and public sector. If you want to work we will find a job for you. If you don't want to work, you don't get paid. Its that simple. |

| Message | Statements like these are the reason why the Conquest Party is slowly, but determinedly drifting into obscurity of Mordusian political history. Providing unemployed people with a 'very basic subsistence' for a 'certain period of time' is a necessity so that people are not thrown out of their current social cycle. This social security net would allow them to maintain their flat/house, allow them to cater the needs of their families, while encouraging them to seek work as the support the state provides is very basic and does not encourage a parasitic lifestyle. |
