Bill: Abortion Reforms

Details

Submitted by[?]: Choice

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 3887

Description[?]:

Currently, abortion is allowed throughout the ENTIRE course of the pregnancy. However this includes babies that are even nearly ready to be born, due to this law allowing a deadly loophole. We strongly believe abortion should only be allowed in the first and second trimesters.

Exceptions will be made and taken by a case by case basis if the woman's life is in danger.

MessageThis has been the compromise and argument on the Abortion question we have been making and pushing for years and we are glad that another party has supports it and has suggested it. We wholeheartedly support this.

MessageAbortion during the third trimester is too far, by then the baby is almost fully developed. The abortion debate is a difficult one, but despite our party being more socially libertarian and liberal, we draw the line there.

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed).

Random quote: "I refuse to accept the view that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality.... I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
