Bill: Foreign Investment Reforms 3888

Details

Submitted by[?]: Choice

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3888

Description[?]:

Currently, foreign investors may freely invest in national companies. However we believe this damages Hutori, as this mean that soon all of Hutori's major companies could be owned abroad. This damages the Hutori economy as one day it could take work away from Hutori, thus less jobs fuelling the economy. We propose that foreign investors may invest in national companies, but may not get a majority share. This ensures that foreign investment continues, but the majority of a company is owned by Hutorians, thus keeping important companies in the country!

MessageMr. Speaker

While we believe that our Honourable Colleagues from Choice's assessment that Hutorian industry will be entirely purchased by foreign investors we understand the trepidation and agree that Hutorian companies should be protected and kept primarily in Hutori for Hutorians.
