Bill: Incest Reform 3894

Details

Submitted by[?]: Choice

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 3894

Description[?]:

Currently incestuous acts are illegal. However we strongly believe that we should not outlaw incest, we should leave it up to the people to decide what to do with their love lives, and not have our government poke their noses in where it's not wanted. We believe we should change the government's policy on incest to "incestuous acts are legal, but incestuous marriages are not legally recognised". For now legalising incestuous marriage seems unrealistic to pass in parliament, and Hutori may not be ready for such a radical change in policy.

We can not in good faith vote in favour of this. While we agree in principle that the government should not be involving itself in the love lives of its citizens, any and all pregnancies or complications that arise from Incestous acts could have real impact on families.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We strongly agree with this proposal. Criminalizing non-crimes helps no one. To address the concerns of the CPH, what about incestuous acts that cannot lead to pregnancies? Let's say oral sex or sex with someone of the same sex. What legal justification is there to prevent such acts? Would you be open to a clarification of current laws to only ban very specific incestuous acts rather than all incestuous acts?

We thanks the Liberal League for their very sensible input into this discussion. However we believe that even pregnancies that are incestuous shouldn't lead to prosecution.

Also it's nice to see such a mature and detailed input from the HNP, a group of right-wing extremeists.

MessageWe anticipate your future attempts to legalise paediphilia and bestiality, rest assured the Libetals will back as long as it won't lead to pregnancy or is same sex.

We thank the Honourable Leader lf the Liberal League for her input and would very much appreicate specific riders and clauses added into a future Bill for the Conservative caucus to even consider lending our support to this issue.
