Bill: Religiøse skoler lov, 3894
Details
Submitted by[?]: Folkepartiet (People's Party)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3897
Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, At the moment, the state is anything but neutral in education. Under the current regulations, it would allow Liberals, Socialists, and others to set up a school based on the values of Metz or Mill or whoever but not Hosians teaching the values of Eliyahu Hosios, despite the importance of those Yeudi-Hosian values to our society as a whole. We should reaffirm the freedom of education and recognise the aspiration of Hosian communities to be allowed to instill some of their values in their children. Let me stress this: when I say instilling values, I mean instilling values, not indoctrinating religion. Like anyone else, we firmly believe indoctrination is wrong. That's why we propose regulations on the content of religious education to ensure that doesn't happen. If a child doesn't believe in God, not even a Hosian school should be able to force him to do so. But we can give parents the comfort of sending their children to a school, if they so wish, where they know their child gets a little of the values so central to their Hosian faith. I call upon the Storting to reaffirm the freedom of education for all. Ingbert Mathiassen (FP-Hent) Parliamentary Leader |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Stop the presses, the Communists believe the government is powerless for once! Jokes aside, while it is refreshing to have a change of pace, there is no less oppression in this arrangement as there is in the current one. Parents still choose which school their children attend. I don't see how this changes that. Ingbert Mathiassen FP Parliamentary Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker Religious school are illegal because religion have no place in education, if your hosian values are so important, then you find peaceful way to teach them to your kind yourself, the state should allow school to teach religion instead of education. And we don't believe in the government, we just think the government is a tool, but controlling religion is not something that nay government can do, we have to keepn them out of our school, as simple as that. Message | Mr. Speaker, I take issue with the lady's words. "Your kind"? Am I suddenly not human. How is this not peaceful exactly? Does she think we hit children, or condone doing so, for not believing in God? That is absolutely ludicrous and slanderous and I dare her to repeat that to my face. Ingbert Mathiassen |

Message | Mr Speaker, there is no cause for such reaction, I simply said that hosians parents should teach their hosians values by talking with their kids, and never hitting them, as hitting kids is not acceptable, your belief are your belief and you have no right to impose them on anyone. Message | Mr speaker Funding private schools and religious school is unfair for anyone who know what religion is, if you fund the hosians school, why you don't fund our Goddess religion, after all, we've created a new deties, we deserve to get funds as mcuh as any religion. Message | Mr. Speaker, I would defend to the death your right to found such a school, if, like everywhere else, educational quality was in order. I don't see where she gets this idea from that this law is only for Hosians. |
