Bill: Child Benefit Reforms 3896
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3897
Description[?]:
Currently, the State guarantees child benefit to all families. However this is a massive strain on the taxpayer and many families do not at all need child benefits. We propose changing this legislation to the State guaranteeing child benefit to families classified as low-income or poor. Note that families who were not low income before the child but are struggling financially due to the child will be classified as low income. Under the current legislation even millionaires are receiving benefits due to this oversight. This new proposed system us much fairer and more sensible. |
Proposals
Article 1

Old value:: The state guarantees child benefit to all families.
Current: The state guarantees child benefit to both low-income families and large families.

Random fact: Large scale RP planning (such as wars, regional/continental conflicts, economic collapse, etc.) should be planned (as best as it can be) and should have consent of a majority of players involved. |
Random quote: "No one today can afford to be innocent, or indulge himself in ignorance of contemporary governments, politics and social orders. The national polities of the modern world maintain their existence by deliberately fostered craving and fear: monstrous protection rackets. The 'free world' has become economically dependent on a fantastic system of stimulation of greed which cannot be fulfilled, sexual desire which cannot be satiated and hatred which has no outlet except against oneself, the persons one is supposed to love, or the revolutionary aspirations of pitiful, poverty-stricken marginal societies like Cuba or Vietnam. The conditions of the Cold War have turned all modern societies - communist included - into vicious distorters of man's true potential." - Gary Snyder |
