Bill: Electoral Reform

Details

Submitted by[?]: Gaduri Conservative Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3901

Description[?]:

Speakers of the chamber,
We feel that the system we are using to decide our sits in parlament and the future representation the people who take those sits will give is still not perfect, and it should be.
Our main concern is that we have 600 sits in parlament, meaning that there could actually be a tie in the election results or in the voting of new laws, so we propouse to change the number of sits in the parlament to an odd number.

Should that number be 601 or 599? Or we shouldn't change it at all? What do you my fellow councilmen think?

I yield.

MessageThe point is to eliminate the possitility of a tie even though is not likely to happen.
What new number of seats do you prefer to have?
I propose 599, we don't need new sits for now.

MessageThe constitution dictates that the senate cannot have more than 600 seats, so I will start the voting procedure proposing 599
