Bill: Cloning Act of 3900

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Democratic Action Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3901

Description[?]:

We, the LDAP believes that cloning human beings is a inhumane action, since there could be uncertain results, impact on the economy, over population, lack of genetic diversity, problem with social acceptance, diminishing value of life and family, it may build a world of fraud and most importantly, it is against the LAW OF NATURE! Another thing is that the clone may have a different personality than the original person and if we had clones that were completely different, our nation would collapse into ruins. That's why we urge all parties to vote yes on this bill and say no to this inappropriate action. Here is the opinion poll:

MessageI belive the opinion poll don't make a marcant difference. Cloning is the future and should be legal. I don't want to clone an army of soldiers or money. But there are things we need to clone. and if we clone bodyparts that could be used to replace nonfunctioning bodyparts.

MessageMr Speaker,

May I ask the socialmoderate Party how we can clone body parts? Do we take out DNA from the body part and reproduce it? Do we take the blood sample out and reproduce it? How can we clone body parts? We ask the socialmoderate Party to clarify their point. We yield the floor.

MessageMr Speaker,

We support the Social Moderats policy here, we support cloning but only regulated cloning.
We can clone human body parts (however the science hasn't been fully perfected yet).

And to the LDAP, quite arrogant remarks, we present the reason into why body parts can be cloned, Stem Cell research. Please read this page, which'll advise you on the subject http://www.livescience.com/32079-how-stem-cell-cloning-works-infographic.html

MessageMr Speaker,

I would like to thank the DNF in explaining how to clone human body parts. In this case, we will add a clause to this bill saying that while cloning of human beings is illegal, the cloning of human body parts to replace nonfunctioning body parts will be allowed. We yield the floor.

MessageNot exactly a need for that idea, there is already a law available that decides the cloning of human body parts (Stem Cell Research)

We still however support the current laws, we agree that cloning shouldn't be done whenever you feel like it (science isn't that advanced yet and can lead to complications) nor should anyone be allowed to clone themselves (I don't want to see an army of Hitlers.)

Yet cloning can lead to benefits to society, e.g. a new method of reproduction, more workers, guinea pigs (although the ethics of this is another subject)

For now, we'll vote no on this bill.
