Bill: Justice Bill of 3900
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Democratic Action Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3901
Description[?]:
We, the LDAP believe that steps should be taken towards Justice, particularly the police department. We believe that there should not be only a national police department but also a local police department, since if we had a national police force, then officers would not be able to travel quickly and tackle crime in the community in need. That is why we suggest that there should be a local police department included, so that the nation can tackle crime more quickly. The national police department will still be included, but it will only help if local police departments cannot tackle a crime on their own or if it is a serious crime. Secondly, we believe that curfews should be set by the local governments whether they want it or not, because without curfews, we would have many drunk people vandalising property, attacking others etc. We would also have teenagers going wild and partying on the streets. We are not removing freedom from people and we support what people want to do at night, but we believe that there should be a curfew so that the streets wouldn't be so noisy and people will sleep peacefully. Also, with a curfew, vandalism would not be that common in our nation and it will give our neighbours a good impression of our nation. The curfew time should be set at 11:40pm. We will have police officers patrolling every street of every province 24 hours a day to check for any offenders. If people are found on the streets, they will have to pay a $60 fine. |

Message | We oppose article 1; establishing a curfew is a violation of the freedom of individuals to make their own decisions. Curfew should only be established in times of emergency. We support article 2 We oppose article 3. Specially trained units are needed to deal with different situations such as hostages or heavy resistance |

Message | We are completely against this. Police departments should be privately owned/managed, but if we were to keep the socialist standard, a National PD is better than a National PD and Local PD, there is no need for a Local PD. There is no reason for curfews, but we agree that local governments should be allowed to authorise. Police units should be given firearms designed for their police unit (anti-terror should be given anti-terror firearms not water pistols) |

Random quote: The Wolfsheim Virus is not a real actual disease in the conventional medical sense of the term. Rather, it is a cluster of symptoms which are just part of the general socio-economic disease that is capitalism. The main symptoms the sufferers are experiencing are a direct result of capitalist poverty, as in malnutrition, poor housing and so on, combined with psycho-somatic symptoms which are a direct consequence of the contradictions and stresses which are inherent to the capitalist system. ~ Friedrich Pfeiffer, General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party |
