Bill: Uleroth Civil Rights Promotion Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Uleroth Liberation Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2171
Description[?]:
In an attempt to quell unrest among the members of the ULA, we propose that we support the civil rights of the people of Uleroth in an attempt to radically undercut the support the ULA draws, especially from the poorer neighborhoods of Victoria.
Thus we propose, at a minimum, In-n-Out Burger, White Castle, and Hardees / Carl's Jr. stands throughout the nation, with especial emphasis on promoting In-n-Out penetration into the meat-craving Uleroth market, and free WWE and Extreme Curling pay-per-views to be broadcast in every local hamlet, square, and pub.
To acheive this goal and simultaneously promote local autonomy, the national legislature should allow local governments to entice these businesses if they so desire, and to provide the necessary trade, customs, and financial support to local governments to ensure that they can bring in whatever among these businesses they so desire. |

From | Uleroth Liberation Party | To | Debating the Uleroth Civil Rights Promotion Act | Message | Negotiations with the rebels have convinced us to broaden the scope of the legislation... while we continue to adhere to the original goals of In-n-Out Burger and the WWE, we are willing to compromise by adding Hardees and Extreme Curling, and we have decided to add White Castle in an attempt to draw international support to our cause. |

From | Selucian Sovereignty Party | To | Debating the Uleroth Civil Rights Promotion Act | Message | Would the ULP be amenable to changing the premise of the legislation so that the National Government simply empowers the Local Government to implement the noted measures? That way, those fickle West Shadarians can opt out if they wish. |

From | Uleroth Liberation Party | To | Debating the Uleroth Civil Rights Promotion Act | Message | I think the West Shadarians would be plum loco to not want In-n-Out stands and Extreme Curling, but because we believe in decentralized, provincial control as a general guiding principle, we are willing to make the requested change |

I'm not voting for anything like that. We just voted media privatisation - I don't understand SLP's stance BTW - and this whole bill is made of crappy arguments and "jokes".
It is you who said minorities should move, I never said that |

From | Selucian Sovereignty Party | To | Debating the Uleroth Civil Rights Promotion Act | Message | I never said anyone should move. I merely stated that each province in Selucia has the right to Secede. And you DID state that people who don't like Selucian law should leave. You said it in the marriage act debate, erroneously "paraphrasing" me (even though you quoted a sentence that I never uttered once ij the forty years SSP has been here). Your words was "If they don't like it, they should move". |
