Bill: Education Reform of 3901
Details
Submitted by[?]: Conquest Party of Valruzia
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 3902
Description[?]:
1) Charter Schools are a waste of tax payer money. We don't need a middle man bureaucracy between taxpayer funded schools and our students. The money saved will be used to increase teacher salaries to attract better people to the profession. 2) Privatizing Higher Education will enable our Universities to be more creative and more specialized. This will jump start innovation in Valruzia. All government owned places of Higher Education will be incorporated and sold on the stock exchanges, or they will be allowed to be purchased by private investors who are knowledgeable in Administration of Higher Education. The Minister of Finance and the Minister of Education will work together to ensure this process runs effectively and efficiently. 3) Once students reach adulthood they will no longer be required to attend school. At this point in their lives, they can choose to move on to higher education, if qualified, or they must serve their compulsory military service within 2 years of leaving school. 4) Children are proud to sing our national anthem. 5) Parents are responsible for taking care of their children, not the government. |

Message | Regarding Article 3 (our stance on the first two is known), do you really believe that age of 16 is a good age to decide about higher education. Please reconcile, remember how "mature" you were at the age of 16... |

Message | Since our party has been in power, the Education Ministry has worked wonders. In general, students are ready to make the transition into our Military. Those who go to higher education instead, can then, upon graduation, begin their military service, usually as officers. |

Message | Please, give me at least one exapmle of such "wonders". Yes, they begin the military service and become mindless military officers with no knowledge and ideas about the world whatsoever. You know that this way, you're only hurting the military, right? |

Message | For you to insult our men and women in uniform us an aberration. Education continues once our youth enter the military. They learn specialized skills such as Electrical training, leadership, ect. Our studemts who graduate our public high schools, at 16, are generally well prepaired for specialized military training. Once out of the military, this training helps our citizens become exellent, disciplined, and motivated entrepanuers and members of the work force. An example of the changes we have made is we have set a curriculum and refocused spending away from the wasted beurocracy of charter schools and have put that money directly in the hands of teachers for them to spend on materials. We have also incresed their wages so we attract the best teachers. |
