Message | Article 1:Article 1 doesn't follow our ideas of equality of oppurtunity and is a backwards step. Article 2: I believe that in this case schools know what will get the best out of their pupils and should be delegated the task of setting discipline levels. Both proposals are too neo-conservative for my liking. |

Message | We do not beleive in a schooling where it is entirly private, private schools should be an alternative, no matter if you are rich or poor, you should be entitled to a education, equal in many ways. Therefore we feelt hat there must be a government alternative. Sure, you can have 90% private if that is your wish, but there must be a government alternative,t hat is how the SCP feels. As for corporal punishment.. we are not against dicipline, so article two is acceptable. |

Message | Opposed. Everyone is entitled to an education. The poor cannot afford to pay for high-priced public schools but should not be punished. If they cannot be educated, they cannot get good jobs/careers and will stay poor, then their children cannot be educated, and the cycle will continue. We are opposed to physically damaging children in schools. Schools are meant to be nurturing environment where students can grow. Discipline is a good thing, but regulations must be made as to what sort of physical punishments may be inflicted. A slap on the wrist is very different from paddling. |
