Bill: Female Health Initiative of 3925
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 3926
Description[?]:
We should make abortions more available for low-income women, in stead of only funding it when it's a medical emergency. All children deserve to grow up in a good environment, but this is not necessarily possible if the mother has a tight economy. Having a way out for pregnant women with low income is a step in the right direction, both for the unborn children and for the women this may concern. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Policy of the government concerning the funding of abortions
Old value:: The government only funds abortions for medical emergencies.
Current: The government provides funding for abortions.
Proposed: The government provides abortion funding only for low-income earners.

Message | Mr Speaker, given that the left is usually very vocal about its concern for the poor, I find it quite shocking that they would rather deny unborn children from a low-income background the right to life in advance instead of focusing on measures that would improve their chances, such as a good school system or taking measures promoting equality of opportunity.
