Bill: OOC: Religious Demographics
Details
Submitted by[?]: Court of Shades
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3927
Description[?]:
OOC: I thought for RP purposes it would be useful to have stated religious demographics. I propose that we re-visit these every 3 election cycles. Because this will have a major impact on RP, this bill should require 2/3's of the Parliament to support this. Further updates and repeal should require a super-majority as well. Here is my staring proposal (Based on the individual political opinions, and current polling numbers) : ============================================================== Golavia ============================================================== Shadowists: 55% Nationalists: 5% Lethoists: 8% Agnostics: 13% Atheists: 19% ============================================================== Andalay ============================================================== Shadowists: 40% Nationalists: 5% Lethoists: 8% Agnostics: 18% Atheists: 29% ============================================================== Rapula ============================================================== Shadowists: 35% Nationalists: 4% Lethoists: 5% Agnostics: 15% Atheists: 41% ============================================================== Norvstavan ============================================================== Shadowists: 35% Nationalists: 0% Lethoists: 0% Agnostics: 12% Atheists: 53% ============================================================== Shadowlands ============================================================== Shadowists: 43% Nationalists: 10% Lethoists: 0% Agnostics: 14% Atheists: 33% ============================================================== Overall Lodamun ============================================================== Shadowists: 42% Nationalists: 5% Lethoists: 4% Agnostics: 14% Atheists: 35% If you have any suggested changes let me know. |

Message | All good, I will exaggerate the population of Lethoists IC at times but I agree that it is a good initial benchmark. |

Message | Awesome. That's why I want to review this in 3 years, so we can show that growth of Lethoism, rather than just have a bunch of Lethoists pop into existence. :-) |

Message | I like that idea, it would kind of mess up the RP otherwise. |

Message | It's a good start, maybe over time show a decrease in atheist and more of a increase in agnostics what do you think? |

Message | Honestly, I was actually thinking the opposite. As a new religion (Lethoism) grows in power, there will be even more religious messaging than normal. Agnostics will either listen to the messaging and become more religious, or push back against it and become atheists. Of course, if a party wishes to represent agnostics, then after three election cycles we can increase/decrease it based on their result. At the moment my understanding of where parties stand: CoS: Shadowists GLD: Lethoists LPA: Atheists All others: Everyone. |

Message | Ok that makes a lot of sense however I don't have any intent on supporting any one religion (RP) as my party is more religious freedom for all |

Message | Fair enough, I've been pretty much like that for the most part myself. I guess the way I'm RPing at the moment is that my party is getting drunk off power, and is slowly going to become more about converting all of Lodamun to the Way of the Shadows. Hahaha. |

Message | My leader has converted but my party will remain secular... for now |

Random fact: Moderation reserves the discretion to declare RP laws invalid if the players supporting them are doing so in an excessively confrontational way. |
