Bill: Senate Seats Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Chauvinistisk Parti för Telamons (CPT)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 3931
Description[?]:
Right now, we have 179 seats and 5 regions. That is mathematically illogical. We propose a 100 seat legislature, and it will be better for Talamons than our current one. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The total number of seats in the legislative assembly. Should be between 75 and 750.
Old value:: 179
Current: 450
Proposed: 100

Message | I agree it makes sense, but 1 seat per million people is very few; I suggest 500 seats would be better. Seeing as this bill will be reset to the debate phase for the election we will propose an alternative. |

Message | We disagree with this, becuase it can cause a 50/50 split cabinet, unlike the 179 system. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
