The formula lends itself to "Grshokai" for "community" which sounds like a "kai" (people) suffix being added. Tempted to elide it to "Grsh'kai". I'll add that to the next dictionary version. "Pnték Taghék Grsh'kai (Federated Communities of Pontesi)" or "Pnték Taghék Grshokai (Federated Communities of Pontesi)" An alternative would be to take "-stat" (state) with Taghe to make "Taghestat" ("Federation") out of "Taghék" ("Federal"): "Pnték Taghestat" or "Pnték Grshokaiék Taghestat (Pontesian Communities Federation)" Perhaps it would be better translated as Commonwealth, for fear of invoking old glories... |

Will have to be a new House as none of us hold the rights to the old ones (well, I hold the rights to House Aedinius, who ruled like 400 years ago :P ). |

| Message | OOC: Happy with or without Dynastic, but I suggest it for a reason besides nostalgia: In the original bill ( http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=451458 ) the Pnték Nrzilyk Spjogad asked if anyone would be averse to bringing back the monarchy. If we restore the Atabeg, it could become a hereditary leader in the same style and as such, would bring a "Dynasty" back. Also, the high castes we've been discussing -- drawing back to the PDC era -- would be long dynasties in their own right, perhaps of lower titles, with their own domains etc. The "Dynastic" aspect could be a nod to history... (after all, in the UK now, Dukes, Barons etc. are all people with big houses and gravy trains but no real power per se.) I leave both matters open to your considerations. Otherwise, I quite like "Pnték Taghék Hldjogad (Pontesian Federal Commonwealth)" too, but fear it may alienate the "high castes" we're discussing in the other thread... |
