Bill: Public Ownership of the Defense Industry
Details
Submitted by[?]: Chauvinistisk Parti för Telamons (CPT)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3935
Description[?]:
A private defense firm may choose to only sell their weapons to our nation if they feel like it. The people pay taxes to be protected, and the Republicans "own" the defense industry and could use their weapons against whoever they feel like. This is necessary to make sure everyone is safe. |

Proposal[?] to change The nation's defence industry.
Old value:: The state owns national defence industries but these exist alongside privately owned defence industries.
Current: The state owns national defence industries but these exist alongside privately owned defence industries.

Message | Herr Talman, to ensure the safety of our people and prevent that weapons produced in our country don't fall in the wrong hands, we urge all parties to support this bill. Asker Eriksson, SUP |

Message | The Republicans are corrupt, dangerous, and they are paid off. We encourage that we end their ownership of defense, as they are a party like us all, a minor party in fact, and they should not control the defense industry. Robin Engman, CPT |

Message | The SUP partially agrees with the CPT's claim in this matter. We won't make accusations about corruption, but we recognise the potential dangers of a political party owning all defence industry. We also apologise for the duplicate posts, we are experiencing technical difficulties with our terminal. Asker Eriksson, SUP |

Message | The Republicans said this, and it proves our point: "On behalf of the members of the Nationella Förbundet för Krigsindustrin (National Association for the Defense Industry) we oppose any conflict in the region. The current foreign policy with Valter Kron and the CPT damages the export of Telamonese arms." They admitted to opposing certain policies only because they're worried about their weapons contractors losing customers. This is corruption, and we feel they should be censured. Robin Engman |

Message | Herr Talman, the Republican party does not own any defence industry at all, however some of the members do. To actively punish a citizen for their political involvement is disgusting and not the Telamonese way. Once again the CPT distort the truth. The United States of Telamon will lose any technology advancement if this bill passes, as the companies will relocate their headquarters to another nation, and with it the technology. What Telamon will have left is next to none military technology, this eradicating it's capacity. |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
