Bill: Whittle-Edison Tax Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Brotherhood for Prosperity

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3938

Description[?]:

Mr Speaker,

This 1% raise in income tax, if placed in combination with the tariff, will close the deficit and create a surplus. This tax raise is a compromise. We will agree to raise taxes minimally, as we have here, as long as our tariff is implemented. This will balance the budget with no spending cuts, which pleases the left, no military cuts, which pleases the right, and a very small tax raise, which pleases everyone.

MP

MessageMr. Speaker,

I would like to point out that this is the only opportunity for the People of the Commonwealth of Rutania to survive this deficit.

MessageMr Speaker,

The Alternative believes that a progressive tax rate shall be established to face the current defecit but not a across the board increase for that will hit the poor the hardest.
