Bill: Arming the Police Force Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Totalitarian Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2172

Description[?]:

Presently, our nation's brave police officers have been allowed only non-lethal weapons. The Totalitarian Party feels this puts them at a great disadvantage. Any well-equipped criminal gang will easily be able to overcome police forces attempting to stop them. We propose police officers be given the right to carry standard firearms, apart from specially trained firearms units, which will be armed with a variety of assault weapons to combat greater criminal and terrorist threats.

MessageI'm willing to compromise on this, depending on how the other parties will vote. We desperately need units able to deal with criminals equipped with body armour, gas masks and assault weapons.
