Bill: Stop The Discrimination Against Our Homosexual Servicemen and Women
Details
Submitted by[?]: Progressive Coalition
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 3942
Description[?]:
The men and women who boldly serve in our armed forces should not have to hide their sexuality from one another and should not have to live in fear that one day they might accidentally let something slip in conversation and risk expulsion. Many of the brave men and women who serve in the Beluz military aren't straight and by discriminating against them we risk alienating the very heros we call upon in our times of greatest crises. Every Beluz should have the right to fight for his/her country without having to constantly hide in the closet in fear of being outed and discharged from service. |

Old value:: Open homosexuality is not tolerated in the military. The military has a "don't ask, don't tell" policy.

Message | We completely agree that sexuality has no place being regulated by the military which is exactly why we're proposed this bill so that our servicemen and women no longer have to live in constant fear. If the CPB truly believes that no discussion of any sexuality should take place in the military then keeping this policy in place does not serve that purpose. It only punishes our non-heterosexual servicemembers while leaving our heterosexual servicemembers totally free to discuss their sexuality as freely as they wish. |

Message | We prefer to be referred to as "Confederates" when using short form for future reference. We understand your reasoning for wishing to against this bill, but keep in mind, we are against the presence of heterosexuality in the military as well, it goes both ways. Sexuality has corrupted enough of society already and although we would never wish to force our views upon local militias, we are talking about a federally funded military here. |
