Message | Could you elaborate? You're proposing changing from an income tax system to a form of indirect taxation system. Are we expected to atleast break even because if that's true we will endorse this new system. Prof. Dr. Julien de Walleghem, Senator |

Message | There is a slight chance we won't break even, as right now we don't have a sales tax, but we will propose a new spending plan and an increased sales tax if that occurs. The benefit to this tax system is that it makes taxation literally optional, it helps the working class, it forces "illegal" immigrants to pay into the tax system, it forces tourists to pay into the tax system, and it forces people on work visas to pay into the tax system. Anyone who is buying stuff here will be paying taxes, and therefore, their benefits are not unpaid for. |
