Bill: Compulsory Purchase Orders Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberālā Savienība

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 3949

Description[?]:

We accept that in some situations, it is in the public interest for the government to issue compulsory purchase orders. Without these, many big infrastructure projects - like motorways and train lines - would never get constructed. It is clear, however, that we need a better balance between the rights of the government and the rights of the private property owner.

Random fact: Large scale RP planning (such as wars, regional/continental conflicts, economic collapse, etc.) should be planned (as best as it can be) and should have consent of a majority of players involved.

Random quote: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." - Dwight D. Eisenhower
