Bill: Third Winship Ministry of November 3949

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Luthori

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 3950

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

We no longer believe we can work with the Conservative Party of Luthori. What we have suspected all along is true. The CPL is full of closet left-wing sympathizers. They would put into power the same people who called for an 800% increase in tax and other radical measures only because they are not popular with Luthori voters and have thus been relegated to one cabinet seat in my previous proposal, a number I believe is commensurate with the level of support they consistently receive in elections.

This new proposal increases LPP, LDCP, and LA representation. I have also reduced PCP representation by one seat to show that we truly value cooperation among parties with similar beliefs.

The Rt Hon. Roslyn Winship MD
Imperial Chancellor and Leader of the PCP

MessageMr. Speaker,

The PC Party has moved further to the Far-Right and they no longer represent the values of all Luthorians but rather the radical values of a small minority. All parties must stand up to this radical party by supporting the coalition that we laid out, which seems to be fairer to both the LPP and the LA.

Jackson Kitchener
Leader of the Conservatives

MessageMr. Speaker,

Would Mr. Kitchener kindly provide some context? What is radical about allowing all Luthorians, regardless of age, to work, provided there are regulations? What is radical about requiring prayer in schools considering how devout and religious our nation is? What is radical about prohibiting free dispensing of contraceptives in public restrooms? These are not "radical" policy positions. These are positions that the Luthori people have supported and will continue to support. If indeed the PCP is truly "radical", why is it that we continue to garner the greatest number of votes among all seven parties in this country? I believe we are populists, and it is the PCP, the LPP, the LDCP, and the LA that champion the values of the Luthori people. Take a close look at your party Mr. Kitchener. Who is the minority, and who is the fringe, in this country?

MessageMr. Speaker,

70% of this country do not agree with the PC's! The PC's continue to ignore the rest of the population that does not wish to see Luthori transformed into a religious state with Winship at the helm. Thankfully, every single party in the Imperial Diet has voted against their radical proposals. In fact, since when did the PC's ever successfully pass any piece of legislation since Winship took over? I can't think of a single case.
