Bill: To Increase The Debate Time

Details

Submitted by[?]: Green Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3956

Description[?]:

Due to the increasingly large influx of bills, we propose that new bills be debated for at least 6 months before being put to a vote. This should allow for all parties to adequately debate the bill. Exceptions can be made when there is a consensus.

MessageThe DLP will be voting no. It's not hard to keep track of bills being put through Parliament and any bills put to the vote that will inevitably not pass shall not pass. Slowing down the process does not help.

MessageOoc: this is just to give everyone two days for debate and voting in case not everyone logs in every day.

MessageOOC: legislation still takes months to pass even if it moves straight from debate to voting. In my opinion this just slows everything down unnecessarily.
