Message | OOC: This is a big issue in my country right now. How many Syrian refugees can we afford to accept? The Liberals, naturally of course, are planning to accept 25.000 refugees without abandon without regard to cost (but not to them) and security risk (but again probably not to them). Governments can be very sanctimonious when it comes to living on borrowed time, spending others' money and subjecting them to unnecessary risk - all in the name of a supposed moral crusade. The reality is far from black and white. IC: We cannot support an indiscriminate refugee and immigration policy - it is simply not pragmatic nor prudent. We take a nuanced approach to these issues and feel that Aloria has struck the right balance. We firmly oppose this bill. - CPA |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
Random quote: "Conservative, n: A statesman who is enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the Liberal who wishes to replace them with others." - Ambrose Bierce |
