Bill: Proposal for a Joint Militia (New Left Parties Only)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Party of Rutania

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3972

Description[?]:

Comrades and Friends in the New Left,

We note with concern the Conservitive Party's formation of the Rutania 1st paramilitary group.

The CP's press release claimed that the group had 56,000 armed members, and while this may be an exaggeration, the threat to Rutanian security and democracy should not be ignored.

The DSP proposes that the Minister for Internal Affairs, Jana Furst of the Workers Front, and the Minister for Defence, Tyler Mares of Solidarity Rutania, having responsibility for policing and the armed forces respectively, take special measures to ensure the security of Rutania's main cities and key institutions.

Unfortunately, while the armed forces answer ultimately to President Brooks of the former NBP, we cannot necessarily count on their full support. For this reason, we propose the creation of a joint paramilitary force between the New Left parties as allowed under Rutanian law.

We propose to name this organisation the Red Front, and to recruit around 40,000 volunteers. To this end, we at the DSP have already begun recruiting members; at the present time, around 2,500 volunteers have come forward, variously drawn from within the DSP membership, affiliated trade unions, democratic worker's councils, and soldier's councils.

We anticipate that in the event of a right-wing insurrection, we will be able to count on the support of the Volksarmee of the Dundorf Demokratische Republik, the Independent Alorian Militia, and possibly from other comrades within the Artanian Socialist Congress.

In solidarity,

Aldwin Fletcher

Minister for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth of Rutania
Chairman of the National Executive Committee of the Democratic Socialist Party of Rutania,
Division Leader of the Red Front - DSP

Rutania 1st is a humanitarian group and we represent the people of this nation. We feel that proper representation is needed in these times. Almost 15% of the legislative seats in the chamber are empty therefor we fully understand
the laws that have recently passed were not passed legally and will be corrected soon enough.

We encourage the people of this great nation to ignore that laws that you feel don't serve the best interest of the people. The recent laws were rushed thru with haste and no regard for the future of our great nation.

Stand with us Rutania 1st

Rutania 1st's claim of being a humanitarian group is obviously a cover for their so they can protect the power of their paramilitary force. Rutania has no need for them to open doctors clinics, we have instituted universal healthcare for all our citizens. Rutania has no need for them to be their "proper representation" as we have the House of Representatives for them. If what we have done is not the will of the people we will see that in the coming elections. We have not made any dictatorial pushes like the Right seems to believe, our purpose is to serve our voters and Rutania the best we can and we believe the laws we have passed is of the upmost benefit to all Rutanians as they now have universal access to health, education and electricity.

the person from the workers front party claims we have a house of representatives to represent the people that being true unfortunately this same person did mention that the house has 15%of the chamber is vacated so 15% of the population is not being properly represented that is who we represent, as well as the 20% of the people who voted for the conservative party that is 35% of this Nations citizens.
We cannot allow this dictatorship to pass meaning less laws and not assist the people.
The Workers front representative claims that our nation doesn't need clinics and healthcare facilities as people are dying in the streets and in hospital waiting rooms controlled by this government.

Its great they passed legislation giving everyone universal healthcare yet they never funded it as well as many proposals they have rammed thru. This government has passed these laws with no regard in how they will be financed so our citizens are dying.
That is why we Rutania 1st is needed and will not go away.
Did this government think they could pass legislation without paying for it? Do they understand that when you spend a certain amount for healthcare for low income and than you change it to free healthcare for everyone than the costs would sky rocket,

This government wants to represent the people ( some of the people) change laws and not pay to ensure that people get what is promised to them.
