Bill: Abolition of Paramilitaries Act of August 3956
Details
Submitted by[?]: Labour Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3957
Description[?]:
Current laws on the legality of party-run paramilitaries are not only seriously out of line with the rest of the international community, they are a wholly immoral tool used to bully and coerce unwilling citizens. They can also prove to be very dangerous when large enough and utilised by political parties. For this reason, this act proposes that they are made illegal. This bill was previously defeated but we believe it is right to bring this before parliament again. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government's position on paramilitaries.
Old value:: Paramilitaries are allowed as part of each political party.
