Message | Mr. Speaker, The Conservatives are in full support of this bill! There is no need to restrict self expression in our military. The majority of Luthorians support a stable, conservatively-minded state that supports equality amoungnst all of its members, this bill would bring forth that equality. Message | Mr. Speaker, The gentleman from the Reform Party is peddling falsehoods about the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy. This, in no way, bans homosexuals from serving in the military, in fact, it is completely neutral. Our military is not a place where one has to identify his or her sexuality. It's a place where all people should be treated equally, and that is why this policy is in place. The military doesn't care if you're heterosexual or homosexual, and it should remain that way. Message | Mr. Speaker, The current law explicitly states "Open homosexuality is not tolerated in the military." That mean's if you're are open about your sexuality, which is normal to be then you will be barred from serving and kicked out if you're already serving in the military. A true neutral policy is one where any man or women, regardless of sexual orientation is free to be in the military. I yield. |
