Bill: HDU Budget Proposal of January 3962

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Luthori

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3962

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

Our government has played a minimal role which has had a negative effect on GDP and growth. This budget will increase spending for the Foreign Affairs, Finance, Justice, Infrastructure and Transport, and Science and Technology Ministries. Some programs that will either be created or receive additional funding are diplomatic staff and security, law enforcement and anti-crime programs, a massive infrastructure project that will repair cracked roads and bridges and will build new highways around the country, and research and development in the fields of science. The Internal Affairs, Health and Social Services, Education and Culture, Food and Agriculture, Environment and Tourism, and Trade and Industry Ministries will be cut. If you look at the laws currently on the books, many of these ministries serve minimal purposes. We do not need to stringently regulate the food and agriculture industries, labor unions are banned and companies do not receive subsidies, environmental practices are not strictly regulate, etc. I hope the Imperial Diet sees the benefit of increased government spending and stimulation to boost the economy for millions of hardworking Luthorians.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We don't see why 2 Billion Pounds is needed for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Health and Social Services needs to at least maintain its current level of funding, we don't like the huge increase to the Finance Ministry because all it really does is revenue collection and managing the books. Internal Affairs also takes a major hit in this budget which means police and fire fighter performance will lower due to being under staffed. We also believe that Food and Argiculture, Environment and Tourism and Trade and Industry should get at least 100 Million Pounds in funding.

We do like the increases in Science and Technology and Infrastructure and Transport, but we cannot support this budget in its current form.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Police funding is under the Ministry of Justice. As for his other concerns, they will be taken into account.

The Internal Affairs Industry is responsible for police funding.

Justice is responsible for Courts and Jails.
