We, the Working Libertarian Party hold the position that energy should be free and readily available for the public. If we continue to allow Mordusia's energy to be handled by private companies, we leave ourselves open to disaster.

MessageWe believe in small government, capitalism, and the free market. This proposal goes against these principals (and is the antithesis of Libertarianism , we will add) and thus we will vote "no" on this bill. We have established a minimum wage that is sufficient for even families of 4 (even with just one working parent), child benefit payments, and an unemployment safety net. We do not need to increase the size of government, cut out the private sector/free market, and provide free services when even the poorest of citizens have necessary funds to pay for these kinds of things.

We would also contend that when a significant chunk of the populace are not paying income taxes at all, they should not be receiving the fruits of others' labor (i.e., the taxpayers) in the form of energy, etc when they themselves can afford to pay for private service. Also, the one tax rate we do have as a country is so low that no citizen should expect for something like energy to be nationalized/free. Having nationalized energy should only ever occur in a country with a tax rate of over 30%.
