| Mr Spreker, The Communist Party, and I'm sure the Lappies and the LU too wish to create a more fair, democratic society that is completely rid of monarchism. As ranks and money by hereditary right is a symbol of inequality, we the people wish for a democratic society in which we vote for our Head of State as this is an excellent exercise of our political freedoms. This bill is a historic direction towards republicanism and represents true progressive values that reflects a modern society. | Message | Mr. Spreker, After a lenghty internal discussion, the LU has voted to support the proposed measures if Article 3 is removed and Article 2 is altered to contain a more politically neutral name that is not commonly identified as associated with a certain zone of the political spectrum. We acknowledge that these are merely insignificant cosmetic changes, but we believe that even the smallest of good changes are important to this world. | Message | Mr Spreker, We feel article 3 isn't assigned to any spectrum as much as it advocates democracy with the people in mind, therefore we ask the LU to reconsider a compromise regarding the name. However, we understand the issue with article 2 and suggest a series of replacements, I ask the LU to select their preferred one: Generalissimo, President, Premier, Primeminister, Chairman.
