MessageHigher sales tax will discourage people to buy things, and this will mean that our economy would weaken.

MessageI fully agree with the Leftist People Party. Currently we are actually losing money! We are spending too much and not getting enough money to pay for our expenses. Why? Well, we changed spending and income through taxes and expenses. Now, to solve this we either decrease our expenses or increase our taxes.

For what's it worth, I agree with increasing tax on luxury goods then, since we would not want to raise the tax for essential goods. Though, 3% is really low already for essential goods. Now, I am for not only this proposal, but perhaps it is an idea to increase the tax on corporations from the unlucky number 13, to 14%, or 15% aswell. We need to get money from somewhere, so we do not suffer from losses!

Leftist People's Party, I comment you on your keen eye and the effort you did put into one of the ministeries you hold.

MessageWe've cut taxes too much in the past. In order to get ourselves out of this rut, we will need to increase taxes while still managing to encourage the public to buy Rildanor goods. I'm against THIS bill to raise luxury taxes...but I am for a tax increase.

MessageSpending needs to be cut. The new finance minister (the DEP, if my cabinet proposal passes) should lower spending in some areas.

MessageI'm the current Finance Minister and I think spending decreases is definitely wrong. Raise taxes, like the Social Liberal Party said, to pay for the essential services we have.

If our current coalition government holds, that's exactly what I intend to do.

I think it's odd, too, that you picked the DEP as your Finance Minister. I think they side far more with us liberals and centrists when it comes to the importance of supporting essential government programs.

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play.
