Bill: Lowerment of the Retirement Age
Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Socialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3983
Description[?]:
Currently, the retirement age is 65, however we believe this is most unfair upon the worker and keeps workers in work for longer than needed. This along with the fact that with youth unemployment, we should be welcoming a lower retirement age as there would be more jobs available. |

Message | Considering the strength of the national economy we concur that this is a good idea. However, we cannot support a 5 year reduction. We will be voting no, but would welcome further legislation with a less radical reduction. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
